Burger King’s store count hasshrunk significantlyin recent years as the burger chain contended withlagging salesandstruggling franchisees.
RBI revealed during a subsequentearnings callthat Burger King’s total net restaurants declined by 3.7% throughout the year.
This means that the chain shuttered close to 300 locations during that period,Restaurant Business Magazinereports.

Kobza also predicted last May that Burger King wouldshutter between 300 to 400 locationsin 2023.
This doesn’t mean that Burger King won’t close additional restaurants in 2024 and beyond.
But itdoesmean that the number of future closures likely won’t be nearly as high as in recent years.
Data shows that these efforts already seem to be paying off.
